General Terms and Conditions for Chris Newstead Consulting
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Chris Newstead Consulting, the trading name of Chris Newstead - a freelance communications consultant operating in London, UK (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant"), and the client. By engaging the Consultant’s services, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services
The Consultant agrees to provide the following services:
Services as mutually agreed upon.

3. Engagement
- The Client will provide a brief outlining the scope of work and specific requirements.
- The Consultant will review the brief and present a proposal, including timelines and costs.

4. Fees and Payment
- The Consultant’s fees will be outlined in the proposal provided to the Client.
- Payments are due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
- Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month.

5. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information exchanged during the engagement. This obligation shall survive the termination of these Terms and Conditions.

6. Intellectual Property
- The Consultant retains ownership of any intellectual property created before or independently of this engagement.
- The Client will own the rights to deliverables produced during the engagement upon full payment.

7. Termination
- Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days' written notice to the other party.
- Upon termination, the Client must pay for services rendered up to the termination date.

8. Liability
The Consultant will not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages arising out of the services provided. The Consultant's liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific services rendered.

9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

10. Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may only be amended in writing and agreed by both parties.

11. Acceptance
By engaging the services of the Consultant, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
